Events

We meet on Zoom every 2nd Tuesday from Noon – 1:00 and our Board meets every 3rd Wednesday from 1:30 – 2:30, and there are no meetings in July. Meeting links are emailed to attendees prior to the meeting.

At our monthly meetings, we invite a guest speaker from a local agency or non-profit supporting the health and well-being of children to join our call and share about their organization’s work; this helps us learn how we might help amplify and support their impact.

						1 Kiwanis International Circle K and Key Club scholarship applications due Kiwanis International Circle K and Key Club scholarship applications due February 1, 2025 https://www.kiwanis.org/members/grants-scholarships/scholarship-opportunities/ Key Club scholarships Kiwanis Children’s Fund Scholarship The Kiwanis Children’s Fund Scholarship is made possible by donations in memory of J. Walker Field, David W. Hancock, Harry S. Himmel, Andrew Reardon, Stephen A. Sapaugh, Florence Skomba and Robert Thal. These donations were made to provide scholarship opportunities to deserving members in good standing of Key Club International. Amount awarded: Two (2) scholarships will be awarded with a minimum award amount of US$2,460 each. Who can apply? Members in good standing of Key Club International. Wagner Family Scholarship The new Wagner Family Scholarship was created to provide one scholarship opportunity to a deserving member in good standing of Key Club International. Amount awarded: One (1) scholarship will be awarded with a minimum award amount of US$4,500. Who can apply? Members in good standing of Key Club International. Linda Canaday Memorial Scholarship The Linda Canaday Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Kiwanis member Linda Canaday, wife of 2008-09 Kiwanis International President Don Canaday. The scholarship is awarded to one applicant and honors Linda’s love of children, which she demonstrated through her career as a teacher and her committed and caring compassion for children through Kiwanis. Amount awarded: Minimum amount awarded US$3,440. Who can apply? Indiana residents graduating high school with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent. Applicants must be members in good standing of Key Club International for two years. Mayfield Circle K Scholarship Former Kiwanis Children’s Fund President John E. Mayfield was a generous philanthropist and enthusiastic supporter of Kiwanis and the Children’s Fund. He established the John E. Mayfield Circle K Scholarship Fund in 2015. Mayfield died in 2017, but his good works continue. Amount awarded: Minimum amount awarded US$1,400. Who can apply? Members in good standing of Circle K International with a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent. Circle K International Past Presidents’ Scholarship The Circle K International Past Presidents’ Scholarship was created in 1990 to recognize current club presidents who have demonstrated excellence and dedication to CKI. It is given every year to one current club president. Amount awarded: US$1,000 Who can apply?
