In addition to our two scholarship programs for local students, we’re proud to support several small nonprofits, with a focus on local programs. Our support goes beyond financial assistance – our members and Board also support many of these organizations in leadership roles and as volunteers.
Assistance League of Seattle removes barriers to education for under-resourced students. They provide new school clothes and books to kids in need, summer camp scholarships to under-served kids in grades 4-11 and scholarships to adults facing economic hardship.
The Healing Center connects people of all ages who have experienced the death of a loved one with a community navigating similar terrain; groups work with trained facilitators and therapists as they move through different stages of their healing journey.
Kiwanis Camp Casey is a week-long summer camp provided free of charge to children ages 6-17 with physical disabilities. For 75 years, the camp and transportation has been fully funded by the North Central Seattle Kiwanis Club.
D.A.D.S. is working to stop the cycle of family violence and brokenness in order to improve the lives of children and encourage fathers to become agents of change in their communities. They help fathers navigate relational and legal barriers which separate them from their children and families.
Northwest School for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Children provides services free of charge to children from birth to age three who are deaf or hard-of-hearing in King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties, and helps children from preschool to 8th grade develop the communication skills they need to thrive socially and academically.
University District Food Bank has provided food to needy families in North Seattle for over 40 years. Each week, more than 2,200 families receive the groceries they need to prepare nutritionally balanced, culturally relevant meals at home.
Bright Scholars International seeks to break generational poverty in Cambodia by advocating for students through educational subsidies and personal relationships. They work with each student’s family to tackle root causes of poverty and create sustainable long-term change for the entire family.
Immanuel Community Services provides a food bank and community lunches those who are hungry, a hygiene center for those who are homeless and recovery support for those who are addicted.
Every night, Operation Nightwatch serves a hot meal to homeless adults and helps them get to a shelter, while their street ministry works to form relationships with those on the street and help them move toward housing, treatment, employment or moving back with friends or family.
Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Program Seattle raises funds to sponsor fellowships of doctors at Seattle Children’s Hospital who specialize in pediatric hematology and oncology and are researching a cure for childhood cancer.
We support the Seattle Opera’s Teen Vocal Studio, which partners withArtSmart to provide under-served teens with tuition-free music lessons and mentorship by paid, professional artists.
We were a market sponsor for Somos Mujeres Latina (SML) of Washington, which is working to connect, educate and empower Latinas in Washington through symposiums, workshops, scholarships and marketplace.
The mission of Teen Feed is to meet the basic needs of homeless and at-risk youth who don’t have stable family support by providing nightly meals, street outreach and connections to secure housing, employment and education.
REST supports victims of sex trafficking through advocacy, emergency shelter and support services.
